We took a trip to Las Vegas for the weekend of Valentine's Day. Just the 2 of us, we sure missed Cache but we knew he was in good hands with Grandma Garner. She flew out for the weekend and watched Cache and we were able to go to Las Vegas. We had a lot of fun going to buffets and shows. We highly recommend David Copperfield, we loved his show. Also, I had never been to Las Vegas, so Thayne showed me around sin city.
We had a birthday party for Cache on Feb 8th, 2009, we had some family and close friends come over. We got a personal cake for him and he had the time of his life.
Thayne has been traveling to Portland and Phoenix, so Cache and I bought a frog tent. Let me tell you, the tent is a lot harder to put up when you have an 11 month old trying to help. Also, we met up with Cheyenne, Talon, Landon, Aubree, and Dan at chucky-cheese. Of course Cache is supporting the big Eagles game tomorrow with his Donovan McNabb Jersey, GO Eagles!!! Landon and Cache are like best friends and had a lot of fun on the rides.
This happened all in one day. Cache loves to explore and gets into everything he is not supposed to. If you turn your head he will be gone. He is growing so fast and it is so fun to see him get bigger. For some reason he loves to get into the closet and eat and play with shoes. If any of you see bite marks in our shoes just know that we are not starving, Cache just snuck into the closet.
We went to Rupert for Stacy's home-coming (She got home from Korea) and for a quick visit to see Grandma Garner. Cache had fun listing to Grandma sing and trying to get her glasses. It was neat to hear about Stacey's mission on Saturday night and then to hear her speak on Sunday in church. Sounds like she was an awesome missionary, and grew to really love kim-chee (a Korean cabbage side dish that is served at every meal). We had a chance to smell the kim-chee and we can give everyone a suggestion, if you find a kim-chee smelling candle for your home don't buy it!!!
